Togrul Mirnazim oglu Asadullayev was born on March 11, 1982 in Baku
to a family of musicians. In 1991-1996 he studied at the Children's Music School
No. 12 named after Tofig Guliyev, in 1996-2000 at the Music College named after
Asaf Zeynalli, in 2000-2004 at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts
in the Department of Instrumental Performance. In 2004-2006 he studied at the
magistracy in the specialty of Kamanche, in 2006-2009 - in the postgraduate course.
The performer was the winner of the festivals "Goncha 94" in 1994, "II Baku Competition" dedicated to the memory of the tarist Haji Mammadov in 1995,
the festival "Goncha 96"; in 1996, "VII Republican Competition"; in 1998, organized
by the mugham association "Mugam-98", as well as the winner of the festivals
"Mugam-99" and "Mugam-2000" as part of a trio.

In 1997-2000 he worked in the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio
Company of the folk instrumental ensemble named after Akhmed Bakikhanov, and
in 2000-2004 - in the ensemble "Araz" named after Baba Salakhov.

In 2004 Togrul Asadullayev gave recitals of works by Azerbaijani and
European composers at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Sumgait
College of Music and Secondary Music School named after Bulbul, and in 2005
under the name "Two contradictions" in the German-Azerbaijan Cultural Society
Kapellhaus.

He is the winner of the 1st place at the international festival "Eastern
Melody" in Uzbekistan in the city of Samarkand in 2005, the winner of the "Caspian
- Sea Friendship" festival in Kazakhstan in 2006, the winner of the Grand Prix of the
"Niagara Chamber Music" festival in Canada in 2008, 2018 in Uzbekistan took first
place at the "Mugam" festival in the city of Shakhrisabz.

Togrul Asadullaev has been engaged in teaching since his school years.
From 1998 to 2008, he was a teacher of Kamancha at the Children's Music School
No. 12 named after Tofig Kuliyev, and since 2008 he began working as an associate
professor at the Department of Instrumental Mugham at the Azerbaijan National
Conservatory (ANC) and at the Department of Performing Folk Instruments at the
Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. He is the soloist of the International
Mugam Center.

As a kamancha performer, he participated in the TV contests "Mugam
2007", "Mugam 2011", "Mugam 2013", "Mugam 2015" and "Mugam 2017" held
with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, based on the project of the
Friends of Azerbaijan Culture Foundation. He was a participant as a musician at the
EXPO in England in 2005; in China in 2010 and 2019; and in Italy 2015.
Togrul Asadullaev also took part in many events. Among them are his
participation in concerts held within the framework of the International Mugam
Festival since 2009, his concert in Moscow in 2009 with the Grand Symphony
Orchestra named after PI Tchaikovsky " Eastern Romance" of the Legend of Love, in 2012 in England concert "Caspian Corridor" with the London Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra; accompanied by singer Emin Agalarov in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Azerbaijan in 2012; Participation in the concert
dedicated to "The queens 90th birthday celebration" in the UK in 2016; in 2016, the
VII Global Forum "United Nations Alliance of Civilizations."

Participation in UNESCO in 2017 in the event dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the arrival of Germans in the South Caucasus; Of particular note is the participation in the opening ceremony of the 43rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in 2019.

Togrul Asadullayev took part in international festivals held in different
countries: "XVII International Corum"in Turkey in 1997; "Fajr" in Iran in 2001,
2005, 2006, 2019; "III International Svetoyansky Parade"in Poland in 2002;
"International Mysticism" in Turkey in 2002; "Moscow meets friends" in Moscow in
2005; "Caspian Sea of Friendship" in Kazakhstan in 2006; XVI "Art of Sokral" in
Spain in 2006; "Gabala Music Festival" in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015; "The Silk
Road" in the USA in 2012; "Game of nomads" in Kyrgyzstan in 2016; "Turkish
Culture" in South Korea in 2016; "Turksoy 25" in Argentina in 2018; festival
"Connecting Peace and Development" dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Islamic
Solidarity in Saudi Arabia in 2019.

On september 14, 2015, by order of the President of the Republic of
Azerbaijan, Togrul Asadullayev was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Artist"
In 2015, the performer also defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of
Philosophy in art history on the topic "Kamancha performers, their role and
significance in the development of the art of mugam.

In 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, at the behest of the President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan, he was awarded the "Presidential Award"
He is the author of "Works of Azerbaijani Composers" (2018), "Works of
Foreign Composers" (I part of 2018), arranged for kamancha and piano "Concert of
Said Rustamov for tar and orchestra of folk instruments" (2019), "Works by foreign
composers" (2019, part II), as well as several scientific articles in local and foreign
publications.

In his performance, the gold fund of the Azerbaijan State TV and Radio
Company preserved mugams - "Nava" & "Bayati-Shiraz" & "Chahargah" "Shur",
"Humayun", "Rahab" and a number of folk songs. He has also released several CD in
Spain, Iran and Azerbaijan.

From 1997 to this day, Togrul Asadullayev has repeatedly promoted the
national culture and music of Azerbaijan in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Argentina,
China, UAE, England, Germany, Norway, Italy, South Korea, Austria, Spain,
France, Sweden, Switzerland, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia, Poland,
Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Ukraine, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,
Turkmenistan, as well as in a number of Russian cities.

He is married and has two children.
