Violist Dr. Roman Kosarev, enjoys his career as a soloist, chamber musician, and teacher.

He the Principal Violist at the Windsor and Greater Lansing Symphony Orchestras, He actively performs with numerous orchestras in Michigan and Ontario, including, London, Kingston, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Midland, Battle Creek Symphonies, and Blue Lake Festival orchestra.

Dr. Kosarev has played as a soloist with the Windsor and Oakland Symphonies, Oakland University Chamber Orchestra and Blue Lake Festival Orchestra. He also performs regularly at the Scarab Club, Verdehr and Friends, and other chamber music series. With solo and chamber recitals he performed in the United States, Canada, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Austria, and Greece.

Dr. Kosarev holds music degrees from Michigan State University, the Nizhniy Novgorod State Conservatory, and Vladimir College (Russia). He is a string faculty member at Oakland University.
